National Garden Clubs Convention
The 2010 National Garden Club Convention is May 14 through 16, 2010, in the Omni Hotel at CNN in Atlanta, Georgia. Host is the Garden Club of Georgia.
Among those making presentations to the members of garden clubs from across the country is Pearl Fryar. This son of a sharecropper started his ride to international gardening acclaim with a simple desire: to capture a Yard of the Month award. Now, he’s a recognized topiary artist.
The National Gardens Club, founded in 1929, is the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world with 6218 clubs and 198,595 members in 50 states and the District of Columbia. It is headquartered on grounds adjacent to Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, Missouri.
