Eastasiasoft has announced that Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype will be released for PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network on 26th May in Europe.

The horizontal shoot-'em-up is set to cost £9.99 / €12.99.

In it, players return to the marvellously named Gota IV to free the galaxy from the technologically super D'aarg. Get stuck in my son.

There are seven levels to shoot stuff across, "up to" 1080p visuals, a new chaining system, online rankings and all sorts.

The original Soldner-X, subtitled Himmelssturmer, was notable not just for having umlauts so it's utterly impossible to find in our database, but for being a bit unfocused. Or so we thought in our Soldner-X: Himmelssturmer review.

Check out the trailer below for a bit more on the sequel.
