Wu-Tang's RZA to make feature film directorial debut with 'Iron Fists'

STATEN ISLAND, NY -- Wu-Tang Clan co-founder RZA will star in and make his feature directorial debut on "The Man With The Iron Fists" for Universal Pictures. (Deadline).

The story follows a blacksmith who forges weapons for the inhabitants of a village in feudal China who are forced to defend themselves.

RZA co-wrote the script with Eli Roth ("Inglourious Basterds"), who will produce alongside Marc Abraham and Eric Newman. RZA will also produce the soundtrack.

Filming on the sub-$20 million project kicks off this September in Hong Kong.
