bc_vancouver_eatEAT! Vancouver – The Everything Food + Cooking Festival is May 28-30, 2010, in the Vancouver Convention Centre-West, 1055 Canada Place, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

This is Canada’s largest consumer food and cooking festival! Included are celebrity chefs, local restaurants, wineries, food and beverage manufacturers, cookbook authors, retailers, artisans, and many others from the culinary world. Visitors will be able to explore, taste, sample and shop from over 250 exhibiting companies showcasing a huge variety of food, beverage and cooking related products.

EAT! Vancouver will offer all sorts of food experiences, opportunities to learn behind-the-scenes “culinary magic” from professional chefs, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations and culinary competitions, diverse food, beverage and cooking related exhibits; and, Road Trips Foodies, fantastic food shopping opportunities. The Celebrity Stage will feature Food Network’s Chuck Hughes, Host of “Chuck’s Day Off,” and Vancouver’s own Iron Chef Rob Feenie as well as the “Soup Nazi”, from the TV series Seinfeld (real name: Larry Thomas).

On the Grapes and Hops Presentation Stage, wine and beer experts will provide seminars and tastings. In the Wine, Beer and Spirits Pavilion, visitors can sample wine, beer and spirits from BC and beyond. At Dairy Farmers of Canada Cheese Seminars, tasters will learn the differences among the textures and flavors of Canada’s cheeses as well as pick up tips on how to host a wine and cheese party. The World Culinary Tourism Expo showcases culinary specialties from around the world.

Hours on May 28 are 2 to 9 p.m.; May 29, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and May 30, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults.
