This year's Eurovision Song Contest was seen by just 5.54m (24.4%) on BBC One on Saturday night, early viewing figures indicate.
Airing from 8pm, ratings for the three-hour ceremony - which saw the UK's entry finish last - plunged to an all-time low, a staggering 2.3m fall year-on-year.
Meanwhile, ITV1's Britain's Got Talent held up in the ratings, with 9.35m (38.7%) tuning in for the final auditions round. Afterwards, a repeat of I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story took 3.34m (17%) between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.
The Whole 19 Yards put in a steady 4.4m (21.1%) an hour earlier at 7pm, holding up against Doctor Who, which delivered 5.46m (26.3%) to BBC One in its later slot, a rise of around 1m from last week. The National Lottery Draws followed with 3.45m (16.2%) for a shorter-than-usual ten minute broadcast.
Elsewhere, Channel 4's The Million Pound Drop Live - scheduled at the earlier time of 9.30pm - ended its run with 2m (8.9%). Prior to that, a screening of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers pulled in 1.56m (7.2%) from 6.15pm.
BBC Two's Coast, RHS Chelsea Flower Show and Have I Got A Bit More News For You brought in 1.73m (7.7%), 1.83m (7.5%) and 1.93m (8.2%). Meanwhile, CSI: NY managed 1.88m (8.1%), Five's best audience of the night.
Overall, ITV1 secured only its second Saturday primetime victory this year against BBC One with 25.9% to 23.1%. Channel 4 was third with 7.7% (+1: 1%), followed by BBC Two with 7.2% and Five with 4.8%.
In the multichannel world, Britain's Got More Talent sunk to a series low of 530k (2.3%) at 9.30pm, losing out to BBC Three's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which entertained 668k (3.5%) from 9.35pm.
