I'm excited to announce our new Moodle 2.0 demonstration site!   It showcases Moodle configured for a fictional school so you can try it out with realistic courses, users and data.

Mount Orange School - http://school.demo.moodle.net

Many thanks to our Tomaz Lasic (@lasic) for doing most of the work on this - once you start exploring the site you will see just how much great stuff he's produced in there, such as this list with live examples of things teachers can do in Moodle.  His introductory overview video tells more:

The site is reset on the hour every hour so any changes you make are not permanent.  If you want more time to play then you can download the whole School site as a complete Virtual Machine so you can easily run it on your own laptop or desktop computer.  No knowledge of installing Moodle is required!

We hope you find this school demo site useful for learning about Moodle and trying new features, as well as running your own workshops and demonstrations of Moodle for others.

Lastly, if you're interested to hear more about about our future plans for the school demo site, join us in the online information session that Tomaz is facilitating on Wednesday, 22nd December 2010 at 1pm GMT (see the calendar entry for details).
