E! says didn't orchestrate Kardashian wedding

E! Network: Kim's Wedding Not Fake, Was A 'Real Life Event'

By Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) -- The E! television network says any insinuation that it orchestrated Kim Kardashian's lavish wedding "is completely false."

The network reacted to public questioning about the validity of the reality TV star's marriage to Kris Humphries. The wedding, televised on E!, was the highlight of the marriage: Kardashian announced this week she was filing for divorce after 72 days.

E! said in a statement that "the Kardashians have authentically lived their lives on camera for a long time and Kim's wedding is one of the many real-life events that the family has shared with viewers."

Kardashian announced the divorce on her website, and some of the nearly 2,500 comments there Wednesday questioned whether the wedding was all for show.
