Twi-Hards Go Crazy As Stars 'Imprint' On Hollywood

"Twilight Saga" stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner left their "imprint" on Hollywood Thursday when they stamped their hands and feet in the cement at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

The ceremony, hosted by late night host Jimmy Kimmel, began with a few words from all three of the actors. Stewart gushed, "I think this is the coolest thing I've ever done in my life." Lautner thanked them for their "unreal" support. Pattinson acknowledged fans as well, marveling both at the overwhelming support and the success of the franchise: "how young we are -- it's kind of ridiculous and amazing at the same time." He then jokingly invited the hundreds gathered there to come up and add their hand and foot prints in the concrete.

Hordes of hardcore "twi-hards" had started camping out Wednesday night for a chance to meet stars, including fans from across the country and around the globe. By the time the ceremony began, there were approximately 700-800 waiting to catch a glimpse of their favorite actors, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The actors join the ranks of just 250 Hollywood elite, notes KTLA, and that includes actors like Marilyn Monroe and Brad Pitt.

In order to accomodate the ceremony, Los Angeles police had shut down a swath of Hollywood Boulevard from the Hollywood/Highland metro station to Orange Drive for three hours.
