According to a statement released, work on the first projects will begin this July under the province’s feed-in tariff (FIT) program. Scott Knapman, vice president of Horizon Energy Solutions additionally told pv magazine that around 1.6 MW of photovoltaic systems will be installed this year.

While he would not disclose the amount being invested into the EPC agreement, Knapman did say that the projects are being internally financed. He added that the permitting process is "well underway".

No further details were disclosed.

At the end of March, the Ontario government announced it was reviewing the FITs for photovoltaics.
