Boulder County on Wednesday opened a distribution center at 5395 Pearl Parkway, Boulder, for people affected by the fire. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, and victims can pick up donated items including clothes, bedding, household items, personal hygiene items and diapers.

Xcel Energy has a customer information line with updates on repairs at 800-545-0677. Xcel is also asking that people who were affected by the fire and are still without power call 800-895-4999 and leave updated cellphone numbers or alternative numbers so the company can reach customers if needed.

Allstate Insurance has a mobile claims center located at the YMCA, 2850 Mapleton Ave., Boulder, to help customers start the claims process and ask questions about their claim. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.

Travelers Insurance has set up a mobile claims center area for fire victims in the parking lot of Taggart Insurance, 1600 Canyon Blvd., Boulder. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 1-800-252-4633 or 303-442-1484.

A victim assistance center, staffed with mental-health counselors, has been set up at Boulder County’s Sundquist Building, 3482 N. Broadway in Boulder. Its call center can be reached at 303-441-3560.

A storefront, where fire victims can come and get clothing and other donated items for free, has been set up and stocked with community donations. The store is on the west side of Boulder Ski Deals, 2525 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder. It will be open from 9 to 5ish. Its Web site is bigtent.com/groups/fmcf.

OptumHealth is offering a free, 24-hour help line for anyone affected by fires. Behavioral health specialists will help people dealing with stress, anxiety and grief, and they can provide referrals for other services, including financial and legal resources. Call 866-342-6892.

Parenting Place, 1235 Pine St., has various donated items for families with infants and young children, including cribs, high chairs, clothes, toys and baby food. It’s open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fridays.

How to help

Donations to Boulder County’s new distribution center can be made to its collection center, at 3111 28th St., Boulder, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The center is asking only for water, sports drinks, laundry supplies, new underwear, socks, feminine hygiene items, new sheets and towels, work gloves, dust masks, shovels, rakes, sunscreen, lip balm and gift cards to local restaurants and stores.

The Boulder Office of Emergency Management asks that people who want to make donations or volunteer dial 211 or call 866-760-6489. The city can not accept perishable or prepared foods, and asks that residents not drop off donations at local fire stations.

The Community Foundation Serving Boulder has established an emergency fund to support those affected by the fire, and the Greenlee Family Foundation has agreed to match every donation, up to $10,000. To donate, visit commfound.org, click “Donate Now,” and be sure to designate your gift to the “Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund.” Or write a check to “Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund” and mail it to: The Community Foundation, 1123 Spruce St., Boulder, CO 80302.

The American Red Cross is accepting donations to help support Fourmile Fire evacuees. To contribute, visit northerncolorado.redcross.org or call 303-722-7474.

Foothills United Way is accepting donations to support fire evacuees. To contribute to the Fourmile Canyon Fire Relief Fund, or for additional information about available resources, visit unitedwayfoothills.org and click on the “Give Now” button on the right side of the page. On the donation page, on the “Focus Area” line, please type “Fourmile Canyon Fire.” To donate by phone, call the Foothills United Way office at 303-444-4013 with a credit card number. Donations can also be mailed to Foothills United Way, 1285 Cimarron Drive, Suite 101, Lafayette, CO 80026.

The town of Gold Hill is accepting donations for fire victims through Paypal, at goldhilltown.com.

The Boulder Canyon Firefighters Donation fund has been set up at Guaranty Bank for the firefighters who lost their homes to the Fourmile Fire. Donations can be made at any Guaranty Bank branch.

The Boulder Jewish Community Foundation has opened a special fund to assist those affected and displaced by the Fourmile Fire. To contribute, mark your check “Fourmile Fire Relief Fund.” Checks can be mailed to: Boulder Jewish Community Foundation, P.O. Box 20338, Boulder, CO 80308
