Product description

This recall involves certain Honeywell® model A600 impact and splash goggles, Stanley® Uvex A600 impact and chemical goggles, and Snap-On® safety goggles manufactured by Foresight Optical (Xiamen) Ltd.  The safety goggles are comprised of two components, a single wraparound lens and a retaining strap that holds the lens against the user’s face.

Hazard identified

The products' retaining strap does not comply with the CSA standard’s flammability specifications. If exposed to direct flame for an extended period of time, the strap could burn faster than specified by the standard, posing a potential risk to consumers.

As of December 15, 2017, the company has received no reports of consumer incidents or injuries in Canada related to the use of these products.

Number sold

Approximately 140,317 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled product was sold in Canada from August 2011 to August 2017.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled goggles and contact Honeywell for a free replacement retaining strap.
