Job Summary:
Responsible for providing an evolving and broad range of analytical and operational support to the Director, Global Sustainability, the RREEF Sustainability Council and its associated Working Groups in support of the Sustainability Council mission to provide the framework for a global real estate investment business that demonstrates the value of our commitment to sustainability to clients, tenants and colleagues, and firmly positions RREEF as a leader in the advancement of the sustainability of the industry’s built environment.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain integrity of sustainability information and data collection for:
o Greenprint Foundation energy efficiency and carbon footprint data.
o Bench marking tool with data expanded beyond Greenprint energy survey.
o Case Studies - for both Greenprint and RREEF Communications.
o Additional information and data determined as required for effective sustainability programming and reporting.
• Work with RREEF Communications to continuously develop content for RREEF Sustainability Intranet and Internet pages, and meet the objectives of the Sustainability Marketing and Communications Plan.
• Maintain Sustainability reading list and document library with direction from Director, Global Sustainability and RREEF Research.
• Provide analytical support to and coordination of administrative support for Sustainability Council and its associated Working Groups.
• Draft and create Power Point and Word documents in support of requests from Asset Management, Portfolio Management and Marketing & Communications for Sustainability Program for panel discussions, RFP responses, etc.
• Maintain and research global government and non-government groups focused on sustainability. Track RREEF participation and develop justification for recommendations for participation where greatest impact may be achieved.
• Draft minutes for Sustainability Council meetings and for select Working Group meetings.
• Coordinate RREEF activities in conjunction with Deutsche Bank for annual Earth Week events and other DB/RREEF sponsored sustainability activities.
• Work with Director, Global Sustainability and Portfolio Management to model value of sustainable features of buildings in Argus or other economic models, and with RREEF CIO team to effectively identify and quantify risks associated with sustainability.
• Work with DB Climate Change Advisors to review government regulations and incentives related to increasing the sustainability of the existing built environment and new development.
• Work regularly with Director, Global Sustainability, DB Climate Change Advisors and RREEF Research to ensure that RREEF maintains leadership role in increasing the sustainability of the built environment within the context of market trends and regulations.
• Meet regularly with, and present recommendations/written summaries to Director, Global Sustainability; interact with all functional and geographically dispersed groups within RREEF and with external sustainability related groups.
• Participate in analyst and management conference calls, as may be appropriate.
• Assist in special projects as defined by Director, Global Sustainability and RREEF Sustainability Council.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned or requested

Requirements:
• 5+ years work experience as real estate analyst with expertise in property management or portfolio management a plus
• Strong finance/accounting/analytical skills plus ability to think independently/make decisions quickly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to quickly learn investment management business information systems.
