Ruling alliance urges oppn to return for talks



KATHMANDU, JAN 27 . An alliance of 10 parties including the ruling—Nepali Congress and CPN-UML—have urged the opposition alliance to resolve the current political crisis through dialogue and be a part of Questionnaire Committee.

The ruling parties made such appeal in a statement released after a joint meeting held at Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Monday.

“We always want to resolve the problem through dialogue s and consensus. We are ready and working to draft the new constitution through unanimous consensus if not through enough consensus,” read the statement, adding, “No political party which is accountable towards the nation and public should obstruct the constitution drafting process through the Constituent Assembly (CA).”

Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Rastriya Prajatantra Party Parliamentary Party leader Dipak Bohora, CPN (ML) General Secretary CP Mainali, Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC, among other leaders, were present at today’s meeting.
