Captain Groberg was born in France but moved to the United States with his parents as a boy and grew up in Bethesda, Md., just outside Washington. He was naturalized as an American citizen in 2001 just months before graduating from high school and went on to become a track and cross-country star at the University of Maryland.

Here's the thing about something like that: It's just what you do.

Not saying anything bad about him, but if you see a burning building, you grab a fire extinguisher, run in, put it out, and look for anybody to pull out of there.
