Square suggests gamers keep their FFXIII data for FFXIII-2

Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama have let slip that gamers may want to preserve their save files from Final Fantasy XIII for the upcoming sequel.

The duo didn’t go into any specific details on the matter, though it sounds as if players can expect some sort of unlockable goodies for those who hold on to their data.

In addition, the pair also divulged a deluge of fresh details on FFXIII-2 during a chinwag with Famitsu. However, we only recommend having a butcher’s at them if you’ve already played and completed the original – they’re fairly spoiler heavy. Andriasang’s translated the whole lot, so hit the link if you fancy a look.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is pencilled in for release later this year on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
