Dark Souls is a 60-hour whopper, no demo or DLC planned

Dark Souls will pack in up to 60 hours worth of play time, project director Hidetaka Miyazaki’s revealed.

Speaking with 4Gamer, Miyazaki noted that by comparision the game’s precursor, Demon’s Souls, offered around 30-40 hours game time. Sounds like we’ll be getting plenty of bang for our buck, then.

Elsewhere, he touched base on the prospect of a playable demo, confirming a teaser’s unlikely to happen as he’s admittedly “not all that great at making demos.”

DLC isn’t on the cards either, apparently, though if extra content were to materialise Miyazaki said developer From Software wouldn’t charge for any post-release pleasures.

Dark Souls is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in fall 2011. Stay tuned for more details as they arrive.
