Deus Ex: Human Revolution release date due next week

Deus Ex: Human Revolution designer Jean-Francois Dugas has confirmed via Twitter that Square Enix will be pinning a release date on the Cyber-Punk shooter next week.

“Of course! The release date will be announced next week! What about that!” he wrote.

Set 25 years prior to the events depicted in the inaugural Deus Ex, Human Revolution plus players in control of a heavily augmented chap named Adam Jensen.

The game throws in five sprawling cities to explore, such as Detroit and Montreal, with Jensen having access to his own gaff where gamers can store gathered info and secrets. Of course, being kitted out with the latest in mechanical augmentation Jensen has access to a myriad of superhuman abilities, spread over four distinct categories: Combat, Stealth, Technology and Social.

Interestingly, it’s been observed that players who are sneaky enough and possess sufficient social skills will be able to plough through the game without so much as bumping off anyone but bosses. Now that, we’d like to see.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
