Valve’s confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version of puzzle Portal 2 won’t feature mouse & keyboard support.
Quizzed by the chaps at the U.S. PlayStation Blog on the possibility of such peripherals being compatible with the PS3 release, project lead Joshua Weier replied: "No, unfortunately we don’t do that. The whole game is built around playtesting, which extends to the hardware and how people use it."
"We have people internally who played on the PS3 – we use it all the time – and we constantly iterated it,” he added.
Don’t let this worry you, though; Weier explained that Portal 2 is perfectly tailored for being played with a good old fashioned control pad.
"Luckily, Portal 2’s not a super twitchy, complicated game, so we just focused on making a comfortable controller experience," he explained.
Portal 2 is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 on April 19.
