Just in time for the June 20th launch of Keith Olbermann's "Countdown" show on Current TV, the former MSNBC anchor is once again blasting News. Corp owner Rupert Murdoch through his Twitter account.

What's the latest in this always entertaining media circus?

In an interview with the Guardian, Current TV founder Al Gore said "the Current TV news and documentary channel was told unexpectedly three weeks ago that it could no longer be carried by Sky Italia because of its decision to hire [Keith Olbermann] a US left-leaning commentator often critical of Murdoch's company."

What does Olbermann think about all of this?  Let's cut to his official Twitter account!

"Must read: @AlGore on the Murdoch Evil Empire's decision to kick @Current off its Sky Italia service in Italy - to silence me. It's ON," Olbermann tweeted.

He continued, "We shall go on to the end; we shall fight in (Italy); we shall fight on the seas and oceans; we shall fight with growing confidence.....and growing strength (on) the air; we shall defend our (network) whatever the cost may be; we shall fight on the beaches;......we shall fight on the landing grounds; we shall fight in the fields and in the streets; we shall fight in the hills;......we shall never surrender!- Rupert, you have been warned."

Those are definitely fighting words from Olbermann.  [Update:  quoting Winston Churchill.]  But, in the end, it's also a perfect example of what the "Countdown" anchor is best at doing -- creating a publicity firestorm!
