PlayStation 3 has moved over three million units in France since its launch in the region in March 2007, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has revealed.
By comparison, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console has shifted 2.3 million units of hardware in the country.
According to data cobbled together by the chaps at GfK, PS3 software has raked in a whopping €418 million, which equates to eight million units sold. Meanwhile, Wii software has generated €337 million, while 360 has brought in €239 million.
Sony recently announced that it had sold just north of 42 million consoles globally as of Q3 2010.
