Richmond’s annual Food Truck Courts are already in full swing — and this year the roving band of local food trucks and carts is returning to the spot where it all started: the Virginia Historical Society in the Museum District.
The informal gathering of food trucks started at the VHS in 2012 and quickly expanded to multiple locations around town — covering nearly every section of town.
The original spot in the Museum District was one of the most popular locations for locals to gather and nosh on food from mobile vendors, but construction at the museum made the back parking lot where the event was held unavailable — until now.
The Richmond Food Truck Association, which manages the event, is renting out the venue this year, and the food trucks — a handful of different ones each week — will be on hand at the Boulevard museum every Friday beginning May 13.
