Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele is facing a ten-match ban after his clash with Chelsea striker Diego Costa on Monday.

The Sun says Dembele could face a mammoth 10-game ban if he is found guilty of 'gouging' Costa's eye.

The Tottenham midfielder appeared to deliberately poke Costa in the eye during the heated clash at Chelsea on Monday night.

Dembele's actions were missed by match referee Mark Clattenburg and his assistants, as tempers frayed on the sidelines as the first half came to a close at Stamford Bridge.

FA chiefs are considering the Belgian's actions in the same bracket as Luis Suarez's infamous bite on Branislav Ivanovic which earned him 10 games out.
