Legendary Apple co-founder Steve Wozniac, who left the company a quarter century ago to listen to various and sundry muses, says he could just go back to work at One Infinite Loop.

"Sure, I'd consider it," Woz told Reuters at a Brighton, England computer server conference.

Wozniak still draws a paycheck from Apple, and is a shareholder, but he left the company as a true employee on February 6, 1987.

Since then he's been riding Segways, dating comedian Kathy Griffin, appearing on Dancing with the Stars and freaking out fellow geeks with a cameo on The Big Bang Theory. He also remains a big Apple booster and is beloved of the Apple faithful, even waiting on line for his iPads along with we commoners, instead of just making a call.

Having said all that, we won't be reaching out to Apple for comment about a prospective return of "Wonderful Wizard of Woz."

Some questions really shouldn't be asked.
