Reese Witherspoon’s “Good Girl” MTV Movie Awards Speech

Reese Witherspoon was awarded with the Generation Award at last night’s MTV Movie Awards. The Generation Award is a lifetime acheivement accolade that is given to a person who has had a stellar career in the movie business.

Reese was presented the award by past and upcoming co-stars, Patrick Demsey (Sweet Home Alabama), Robert Pattinson (Water for Elephants), and Chelsea Handler (the upcoming This Means War). Aside from Patrick, the stars’ tributes to Reese were actually quite awkward and R-Patz even let out an f-bomb that slipped through MTV’s censors.

The 35-year-old actress was as adorable as ever when she accepted her award, and even made a few jabs at her past castmates.

“I have the three most ridiculous people on planet Earth giving me this award!”

Reese even gave a bit of advice to the youngins out there, saying you can still make it in the movie business if you are a good girl, and if you do choose to send out naked pictures of yourself, you should at least try to be a tad bit more careful.

It’s also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show. When I came up in this business, when you made a sex tape you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed. If you take naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people. Hide your face.

Some are saying Reese’s sexting comments were a direct jab at Blake Lively (who has recently been trying to say that certain nude pictures of her are fake). But come on people, how many guilty sexters are there in Hollywood? I think Reese was just trying to make a point, and she made it well. Let’s not read into this people!
