Sacred Heart hosts Poetry Pals
This week, Academy 4a and Hardey 4a students participated in the first meeting of a year-long interfaith youth poetry project called Poetry Pals. This organization brings together children from diverse and interfaith communities for partnership, expression and friendship through poetry, spoken word, music and art.
Poetry Pals meet with participating schools on a rotating basis. On October 18, students from Muslim Day School ICCI: Islamic Community Center of Illinois Academy and a Jewish Day School Solomon Schechter Day School visited Sacred Heart.
The next Poetry Pal meeting dates will be Thursday, December 1 at Soloman Schechter, and Tuesday, January 24 at ICCI.
