Harry Potter's Rupert Grint and Oliver Phelps surprise pupils

Two actors from the Harry Potter films have made a surprise appearance at a school in Sutton Coldfield.

Oliver Phelps and Rupert Grint, who play two of the Weasley boys, were at Bishop Walsh Catholic School in Sutton Coldfield.

Pupil Sarah Cotter, 17, won the guest appearance in an online competition.

As part of the prize every pupil in the school was given a copy of the new Harry Potter DVD.

Miss Cotter said: "I just saw the competition on Facebook and I thought 'Why not, Rupert Grint and all?' - but I didn't think I'd win."

During the visit, Grint told the pupils he now found it strange seeing himself in the early Potter movies.
