Singapore, Hong Kong and Paris have tied as the world’s most expensive cities, according to The Economist Intelligence Unit. This year marks the first time three cities have landed at the top of its cost of living survey, which compares the prices of 160 products and services. The cost of living in all three cities is 7% higher than in New York City. Switzerland’s Zurich and Geneva, and Japan’s Osaka also landed higher than the Big Apple, which tied with Denmark’s Copenhagen and South Korea’s Seoul for seventh place.
