Product description

This recall involves Toysmith brand Slime Suckers. The toy has a purple or blue head figure, with green slime. The product may be identified by Item # 20057 or UPC 085761220225.

Hazard identified

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined the Slime Suckers toy does not meet the Canadian toy safety requirements related to boric acid content.

Boric acid can be toxic to children if licked or swallowed. Children are more sensitive to boric acid toxicity than adults. High levels of boric acid ingestion may have long term effects on a child's development and their future reproductive health.

As of August 30, 2019, the company has received no reports of injuries in Canada.

Approximately 2,736 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

The affected products were sold from January 2016 to August 2019.

Consumer should immediately take the recalled slime toy away from children and dispose of it in regular household garbage or contact the place of purchase for a refund.
