The Information Services Department is recruiting for a Senior Web Solution Architect* who coordinates and performs the design, development, maintenance, administration, and maintains accessibility of critical internal and external County's websites and applications. The Senior Web Solution Architect provides support and administration of Web Server Farms which consist of Microsoft IIS, DotNetNuke (DNN), Apache, and WordPress. The Information Services Department offers flexible schedule, telecommuting options, and a friendly  team oriented environment.

Must be available to work after hours, weekends, and on-call as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed, post high-school coursework from an accredited university or technical school in Information Systems, Business/Public Administration or a closely related field. A list of coursework must be submitted with the application.

-AND-
 
Experience: Three (3) years of work experience, within the last five (5) years managing and administer enterprise web server farm (high availability architecture) on one of the following:
 
Microsoft IIS, .Net Framework, and any Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
 
OR
 
              Linux Operating System, Apache Web Server and WordPress
 
Each additional one (1) year of qualifying experience may substitute up to 15 semester (23 quarter) units of the education requirement.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in both IIS/DNN and Apache/WordPress
  • Experience in both PHP, Plugins, and .Net Web Development
  • Experience in databases such as MySQL/MariaDB and MS SQL
  • Experience with IBM zVM hypervisor running Linux on z processors or VMWare hypervisor on Intel-based
  • Experience with F5 load balancing device
  • Experience in Team Foundation Server (TFS)
