Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Hospital Unit Assistants who provide clerical support for in-patient and Behavioral Health hospital units at ARMC.  Incumbents act as unit receptionists performing a variety of duties which include patient registration; providing information to patients, families and visitors; and answering telephones. In addition, Hospital Unit Assistants utilize electronic systems and various computer applications to transcribe and input a variety of physician orders, examinations, treatments, and laboratory tests and enter patient information; prepare and assemble patient medical records and forms; and maintain inventory and order hospital forms and supplies.
 
Hospital Unit Assistant positions are assigned to all ARMC inpatient areas and the inpatient and outpatient units in the Behavioral Health facility. The list established by this recruitment will be used for all areas while the list remains active.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Availability: Must be available for all shifts: day, evening, night weekend, rotating and swing, including holidays. Indicate shift availability on the application materials. Additionally, some positions may be part-time or extra-help. Indicate availability for full-time, part-time, or extra-help positions on the application materials.

Minimum Requirements

Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent office clerical experience in a medical environment.

Desired Qualifications

Ideal candidates possess exceptional clerical, communication, customer service skills, English/Spanish bilingual skills in an acute care hospital, and are available for varied shifts.

In addition, candidates with experience and a desire to work in a behavioral health setting are encouraged to apply.
