Affected products

Issue

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program project has revealed that the Grill-It-Kit (12" Disposable Mini-Quick Grill) do not meet the warning label requirements under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA). The Charcoal Regulations require the warning label to be on the front of the package.

Charcoal produces carbon monoxide. This can be toxic if it is burned inside or in an area without proper ventilation, posing a suffocation hazard to users. Warning labels help to protect the public by telling them about this hazard.

As of June 7, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return the product to the place of purchase for refund.
