How a Super Power Disappears from the Final Act of History

The United States of America is conspicuously absent in Biblical prophecy. Pat Robertson in his book, The Secret Kingdom, suggests she is among those being referred to in Ezekiel, chapter 38, verse 13, where it mentions: “the merchants of Tarshish.” Beyond that there is nothing about the USA (many scholars agree).

How could this be? One suggestion is that she declines to the point of being irrelevant as it has to do with end times events. This is interesting as we see that process taking place right before our very eyes? And how else will Israel become surrounded by her enemies and face annihilation as the Bible declares it must happen? (Zechariah 14:2) America has to be no more. She really is the one and only friend of the Jewish people left that can do anything to help protect her.

So how is America removed from the scene? Here’s how (it’s happening now?)…

How a Super Power Disappears from the Final Act of History (7 ways):

1. Socialism established in place of capitalism.
2. Sympathy offered to the religion of Islam.
3. Political instability promoted within.
4. Policies upheld to increase job loss, inflate fuel and food prices.
5. Chaos, unrest encouraged/emboldened abroad.
6. Military stretched thin by too many conflicts.
7. Believers in Jesus Christ caught away. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

“And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one.” (Zechariah 14:9)

I’m sorry, your islamophobia is showing. You might want to cover that up and get a theology degree.

  2. Well summarized, Pastor Mike! (And I see no “fear of Islam” in there, in spite of the anonymous random comment above.)

  3. The first poster “Anonymous” is just a nut, i.e. child of Satan. Great summary. I agree that Israel will be alone in the end & can only look to their Messiah Jesus Christ who will come to save them from her surrounding enemies. You mentioned rapture, I believe in it to but probably different than you. I believe it happens at the sounding of the 7th trumpet. Since dead in Christ rise first (First Resurrection) Rev 20:4-6 describes who will be in that First Resurrection, i.e .those in the trib who refuse the mark and who refuse to worship the beast. I wish the pre-trib rapture was true, but I’ve come to a different conclusion. Of course my belief on this matter is just my opinion.

  4. This isn’t true. America is mentioned in Isaiah 18:7.

  5. Perhaps our new anonymous commenter can demonstrate how the US must be the country that pays tribute to the LORD, and is separated by rivers? I see no tribute to God anymore, and I’m sure there are other countries separated by rivers.

  6. I agree with some points, but definitely not the “caught up” part. Revelation 20:1-6 specifically says that the FIRST resurrection includes people who didn’t worship or take the mark of the beast. Since the First resurrection happens @ Jesus’ return, and those in that resurrection include saints who did not worship or take the mark of the beast, no way rapture happens before tribulation. Go to

and see the Q&A section. There you’ll find verses to look up and read for yourself concerning the “rapture”. As for anonymous, seems you ate the one with a fear seeings how u won’t use your name. If disagreement with someone or something makes one fearful, then u must have pastor mikeaphobia. Just sayin

  7. I vote for #7. And just for the record, I have a theology degree and I see no islamophobia anywhere in this post.
