Affected products

Inzebox – PORTRAITO, 38 pieces

Product description

This recall involves the Inzebox PORTRAITO magnetic game.  The product contains 38 magnetic wooden components used to create different faces by applying them on the magnetic tin. The magnetic tin is shaped as a face with a hairline printed on both sides and the tin is used to store the wooden pieces. Several of the magnetic wooden pieces are small parts.

The product can be identified by the universal product code (UPC) 3070900030800 and model number DJ03080.

Hazard identified

Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the magnetic game does not meet the Canadian safety requirements for toys.  Specifically, while the product is labelled for ages 3+, Health Canada had determined that Inzebox PORTRAITO is likely to be used by a child under three years of age.  As a result, because the product contains small parts, it poses a choking hazard to young children.

As of January 10, 2017, the company has received no reports incidents or injuries in Canada.

For some tips to help consumers choose safe toys and to help them keep children safe when they play with toys, see the General Toy Safety Tips.
