JOIN DEP FOR THE CHARLOTTE HARBOR NATURE FESTIVAL
~Department will have two educational booths~
PORT CHARLOTTE – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection invites you to join us for the Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program's 15th Annual Nature Festival Saturday, Nov. 22 in Port Charlotte.
The department's South District will have an educational booth including information about aquatic macroinvertebrates, mangroves and seagrasses, a water-monitoring challenge, and a habitat game. In addition, DEP's Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserve will have a booth with information on estuarine habitats, oyster bed restoration, bird monitoring and more.
This free event is open to all ages and includes more than 50 nature exhibits, local artists and the Mote Marine Laboratory's mobile exhibit, which includes touch tanks. Enjoy the day connecting with nature, exploring and learning about the natural environment of Southwest Florida.
