Product description

This recall involves Sugar Shack limited edition vaping liquid. This product is packaged in a 50ml maple leaf glass container and is sold in 0mg, 3mg and 6mg of nicotine.

Hazard identified

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these vaping products do not meet the packaging and labelling requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.

Vaping liquids containing nicotine pose a poisoning hazard if ingested. Improper packaging and labelling could result in unintentional exposure to these products and lead to serious illness, injury or death.

As of July, 2018 the company has not received any reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injury.

Number sold

Approximately 177 units of the recalled products were sold in Canada at various vaping retail stores.

Time period sold

The recalled vaping products were sold from April 2017 to July 2018.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Canada.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using and return any recalled product to the place of purchase for a replacement.
