Indie Beer And Music Celebration Untapped Festival Hits Austin

The first Austin incarnation of the festival happens April 18 at Carson Creek Ranch.

Two of Austin's greatest obsessions, indie music and craft beer, will get top billing when a Dallas-based festival hits town later this spring. The Untapped Festival will bring 65 brewers and headliners like Manchester Orchestra, Phosphorescent, Black Joe Lewis and Jean Grae to Carson Creek Ranch on April 18. In addition to showcasing Austin's homegrown brewing talent, the festival promises to bring in beers from breweries not normally distributed in Austin, according to a press release.

The festival has previously been held in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston. Tickets start at just $25 for general admission, and they offer beer tasting packages for $32 and VIP tickets for $65. The festival also plans to partner with local restaurants to provide food, though names have not yet been announced.
