Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Radiologic Technologists II who perform procedures employing the use of x-rays to produce images of various parts of the body for the diagnosis of pathological and traumatic disorders. Duties include explaining examination procedures to patients; practicing appropriate shielding to reduce radiation exposure and scatter; evaluating the condition of patients during procedures and using judgment in positioning and re-positioning the patient; and instructing and directing Radiologic Technologists I and students in the use of equipment, techniques and procedures.

 CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
 
Background Investigation:  Candidates must pass a background investigation which includes verification of employment and education.
Certification:  Must obtain certification in Fluoroscopy with the State of California, Department of Public Health within six (6) months of hire.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must possess all of the following:

Certifications:
(Must possess and maintain)

Certification with the State of California, Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist.
AND
Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Health Association.
 
Registration: Must possess and maintain registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
 
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a hospital or medical institution as a registered x-ray technologist.

Substitution:  Completion of the ARMC Hospital Based Certificate program in Radiologic Technology and an Associate's of Science Degree may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
