Jacque Vaughn, who was let go by the Orlando Magic today after two and a half seasons as the team’s head coach, released a statement this afternoon expressing his thanks to team owner Rich DeVos and the DeVos family.
In the statement, Vaughn said: “I would like to thank Mr. DeVos and Family for the opportunity of representing the Orlando Magic as Head Coach. I am a stronger and wiser man and coach because of the opportunity. I look forward to seeing this group continue to grow. God bless, good luck. Jacque Vaughn. Proverbs 3:5-6.”
The Magic hold a 15-37 record this season after they posted a 20-62 record in Vaughn’s first season and a 23-59 record in Vaughn’s second season as their coach.
