JOIN DEP FOR 15TH ANNUAL
FLORIDA OCEANS DAY
~Learn about issues facing
Florida’s coasts and oceans at the Capitol~
TALLAHASSEE –The
Florida Department of Environmental Protection joins public and private
partners to celebrate Florida Oceans Day at the Capitol on March 12. The
annual event features public exhibits to raise awareness about the health of
Florida’s oceans.
A
mix of public and private organizations will exhibit in the Capitol Courtyard and
Rotunda. Exhibits will feature displays from the department's Florida Coastal Office including
the Florida Coastal Management Program, Deepwater Horizon restoration efforts, the Gulf of Mexico Alliance and the Florida Coral Reef Conservation
Program. These major programs
reflect the diverse needs of Florida’s coastal economy and environmental
health.
