The Public Health Department is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to manage and coordinate the fiscal services of the department.  The incumbent in the position will direct the general accounting, budget and cost control, accounts payable, and billing functions. Additional responsibilities include the oversight and management of various Information Technology programs, which includes the new Electronic Health Records system, through subordinate managers and/or supervisors

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree in finance/accounting, public/business administration, management, public health, or a closely related field.

-AND-

EXPERIENCE:
Three years of highly responsible management or administrative experience within a governmental agency with primary responsibility for fiscal oversight, which included financial analysis of programs/business operations and contract/grant compliance.

Applicants with an acceptable combination of experience and education may be considered at the discretion of the hiring authority.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess extensive management and administrative experience that includes oversight of a multi-million dollar budget.  In addition, previous experience within a Public Health or related agency is desired.
