Android: Just in time for Memorial Day travelers, Google has updated its Maps application with more detailed traffic and accident alerts.
Now, when you get driving directions, Maps will give you more detailed information on traffic conditions along that route. More importantly, though, it’ll give you little card notifications as you drive, letting you know what kind of delay you’re about to experience, and how long you’ll be stuck there. You’ll also get the option to take alternate routes, with explanations for each recommendation.
