Call for Proposals

With the theme: Building Bridges to Connect and Inspire, the MBA CSEA 2017 Global Conference brings together graduate business career management professionals and employers to meet, learn and connect. In addition to high level keynote speakers and plenary sessions, the event will feature breakout sessions presented by MBA CSEA members sharing best practices and leading thought-provoking discussions. We invite you to be a part of our presenter line-up!

Share your innovative topics, trends, and best practices in career services and employer relations and recruiting by facilitating a workshop, leading a discussion, or teaching seasoned professionals.

 Topics should be practical and actionable to schools and/or employers, such as:

  • Varied sessions for employers, school relationship managers and advisors
  • Varied sessions for new and experienced schools and employers
  • Deeper dives into new technologies and ideas
  • Joint employer and school exchange of information
  • Sessions that are relevant both globally and to specific geographies
  • Best practices that draw on data and prior success
  • Professional development

We're looking for proposals that meet the following characteristics:

  • Opportunity for interaction/discussion with colleagues
  • Relevant group activities
  • Use of social media, instant feedback via smartphone, etc.
  • Ample time for Q&A

Session Timing and Formats

  • Sessions are designed to fill a 75-minute time frame.
  • Formats can be:
    • Classic - opportunities for attendees to think about and add to their knowledge through lecture, research-based information and case studies.
    • Instructional - hands-on learning of information and skills to take back and use in work related activities through interactive sessions/workshops, with toolkits provided
    • Peer Exchange - panel discussions, open forums and shared discussions to garner immediate feedback and input from attendees for a more robust understanding and possibly a call to action.

Guidelines for Proposal Submission

  • All accepted presenters are required to pay for conference registration and travel costs.
  • Only complete submissions will be considered. Your proposal must include information about all presenters. Click here to view a list of items needed for your submission before beginning the submission process.
  • Affiliate members and other vendors must register as an exhibitor, sponsor or affiliate participant if a proposal is accepted. Exhibitor or sponsor registration fees and travel costs are the responsibility of the affiliate member or vendor.
  • A school or employer member of MBA CSEA is required to be the primary contact and presenter on all proposals.
  • With all of the great proposals we historically receive, we know the selection process will be tough! We recommend that your proposals appeal to a variety of audiences (schools, employers, etc.) and provide thought provoking content that will inspire members to implement best practices in their organizations.
