Real Madrid will be due a cut of the record fee Napoli have received from Juventus for Gonzalo Higuain.

Marca says Real Madrid will receive 2.25 million euros of the 90m euro fee.

Thanks to FIFA's training compensation mechanism, Real Madrid are entitled to 2.5% of the transfer given that 5% of the fee must be distributed proportionally among the clubs to have trained the player between the ages of 12 and 23.

World football's governing body outlines the breakdown of that reserved 5% in Article 21 of its 'Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players' document.
