International Update
The above picture was taken last month, as our Kenya team hosted "the Summer Project" where American mobilizers worked alongside African church leaders and students. The Center for Mission Mobilization has had an incredible year and we are excited about the vision God has given us for frontier mobilization. Here's a word from our executive director, Steve Shadrach:
Today, most missionaries are sent from the Western church and South Korea, but 80% of the evangelical Church lives in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Now is the time to begin transforming these regions that have been traditionally known as mission fields into the next great mission forces! For the past 30 years, we've focused on mobilizing the American campuses and churches to global missions. While we're still doing that, the majority of our efforts for the next 30 years will be sending long-term mobilization teams to key gateway cities in 56 strategic countries - countries our researchers have identified as having the greatest potential for impact! Why? Because 90% of the global Christian population now lives outside the U.S. and it's their turn to also bring the Gospel to a lost world!
This month the CMM launched three new field teams to eastern Asia and Latin America. Please pray as they and their families make their own transitions in their new cities.
