Product description
The recall involves the LED parabolic aluminized reflector (“PAR”) 38 wet location light bulb sold for use in outdoor fixtures and security lights. It was sold in Canada under the TCP brand name.

Both the item number and the date code are stamped permanently on the white plastic housing of the lamp. The date codes indicate they were manufactured during the period from May 25, 2015 through July 17, 2015.
Hazard identified
Water may get into the light bulb posing a shock hazard to the consumer if they touch the bulb when powered.
Neither Health Canada nor Technical Consumer Products has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these light bulbs.
Number sold
Approximately 1,354 units were sold in Canada and about 25,000 were distributed in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold in Canada and the United States from July 2015 to October 2015.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled light bulbs and contact Technical Consumer Products for a replacement product that conforms to the design specifications.
