TweetDeck for Windows Is Officially Dead

TweetDeck has long been our favorite Twitter client for Windows, but today Twitter announced it’ll kill the Windows version on April 15th.

While the Windows application version of TweetDeck is dead, the web version lives on, as does the Chrome extension. The push here is to make the web app version of TweetDeck more in line with the Windows app and will supposedly be packed with all the same features. Part of that comes from a change that’ll allow you to instantly log into web version of TweetDeck provided you’re already logged in to the regular Twitter site. The official change will roll over on April 15th, when assumably the Windows version of the app will no longer work.
