This recall (PRA 2017/15963) applies to all Tigerlily cylindrical scented candles with two wicks encased in brown tinted decorative glass. An earlier recall (PRA 2014/14259) was restricted to those candles with no batch code on the base of the candle’s glass encasement. This recall now includes all candles encased in brown tinted glass.
The affected Tigerlily candles were sold in the following scents: Viva, Del Este, Beatnik Bohemia, Villa Blanche, Jewelled Realms, Montego Bay, Sandalwood, Viva Tiger, Monsoon Will Shine, and Leave the World Behind.

Reasons the product is recalled

When alight, the wax in the candle has ignited and caused a fire and safety hazard. The ignition of the wax has also led to the glass container fracturing or shattering.

The hazards to consumers

The defect poses a risk of injury and creates a fire hazard. The defect has caused injuries to consumers.

What consumers should do

Consumers should immediately cease using the candle and return it to their nearest Tigerlily retail store for a refund, replacement, or voucher. Alternatively, consumers can call 1300 664 265 or follow instructions for return at www.tigerlilyswimwear.com.au.
