The former EastEnders actress wowed as she wed the 28-year-old musician in a romantic ceremony at Villa Balbianello on the shores of Italy's Lake Como.

Designed by bridal fashion house Pronovias, the vintage-style garment featured an elongated train, which perfectly complemented the singer's eye-catching veil.

Martine scraped her brunette locks off her face to display her natural beauty in all its glory, with her broad smile being the best accessory any girl could possibly hope for on her wedding day.

She and Jack looked the picture of happiness as they cuddled up in the romantic location, with the beauty admitting she was thrilled to have finally wed her 'best friend'.

She told Hello! magazine: 'We are best friends as well as lovers and totally supportive of one another. We feel that we can conquer anything the world throws at us as long as we have each other, and that’s a rare thing.

'In a world where everything is so disposable, isn’t it lovely to do something that has that optimism of ‘yes, we’re going to last the distance’.'

And Martine admitted it was her beloved mother, Jenny, who knew Jack was 'The One' from the word go.

She added: 'Mum adores Jack and could not wait for him to become my husband. Mum said for ages that Jack was The One.

'She said she’s never seen me so calm or content and told me, "You’re so lucky to have found what you’ve found, so don’t muck it up".'

Meanwhile, Jack - who arrived on a speedboat which was featured in Hollywood blockbuster Ocean's 12 - admitted he was overcome with emotion during the romantic ceremony.

He told the magazine: 'I had a tear in my eye pretty much all the way through the ceremony.

'I am blessed with so many amazing memories and moments with her, but today has topped them all. I feel I’m the luckiest man in the world.'

After spending their first night as husband and wife at Casta Diva Resort in Blevio, the couple joined family and friends for dinner at the Grand Hotel Imperiale in Moltrasio, before heading off on their honeymoon.

Wearing a simple white vest top and a white lace maxi-skirt, the star looked the epitome of happiness as she and her new husband kissed and cuddled while heading off across the lake on a speedboat.

Martine announced the couple had tied the knot last week.

Writing on her Twitter page, she said: 'Hello all! Ive been quiet as I've been having the best few days of my life in Italy Marrying @jackmcmanus Im so happy to be Mrs McManus!'

After revealing her engagement earlier this year, Martine admitted being abandoned by her father when she was two years old had left her wary of marriage.

She said: 'If you've been abandoned by a parent or brought up by a single parent as I was, deep down you feel that's going to happen again.

'Now, with Jack, I feel completely loved. In other relationships I've had to apologise for elements of who I am - 'Sorry about the press,' or, 'Sorry it's not glamorous 24/7.'
