BA will move its remaining flights frrom Heathrow’s T1 to T3 next week, at the same time as fellow Oneworld member Iberia also moves into T3.
The move takes place on Wednesday February 25, and will see BA move its flights serving Spain, Helsinki, Lisbon and Nice over to what is effectively now the Oneworld terminal at T3.
Finnair transferred its flights to T3 last month, where American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines and Royal Jordanian were already based. Qantas is still to follow, as well as BA’s flights to Australia and Singapore, at which point all of Oneworld’s flights will depart from either T3 or T5 (fellow members Malev and LAN do not serve Heathrow).
BA will use the check-in desks alongside Finnair in zone G, with Iberia using adjacent check-in facilities in zone F. Oneworld says that the customer areas in T3 are being given a “massive upgrade to bring them up to the same standard as those offered in the new world-class Terminal 5”.
Terminal 1 is gradually becoming the base for Star Alliance, with T4 designated as the Skyteam hub.
