The Accountability Issue

Welcome to the 2nd issue of the Moose is Loose.

Over the past few weeks, much has been happening and I've been feeling like the candle has been burning at both ends.  But cliches aside, my health has never been better.  I attribute the fact that I always seem to make time for fitness and proper nutrition as being the 2 fundamental elements contributing to my health.

Do you make time for your health?  What's getting in the way?  Do you have road blocks (or are they excuses) keeping you from managing your basic health needs?

I know if you can find someone to hold you accountable, you will have greater opportunity to succeed.  Its one thing to bail on a workout when it's just you, you and you.  But when you have a workout planned with your best friend, cancelling just doesn't enter into the equation.

So my mission to you, should you choose to accept it, is to go out there and rally some friends to hold you accountable to your fitness goals.  If they can't do it, email me directly and I will be your accountability partner (free of charge).  As long as you promise to be truthful and try your best at reaching your goals.

Please enjoy these 2 snippets and feel free to share with friends.

Remember, "healthy is as healthy does!" So do what's right and share the passion to live a healthy, active lifestyle with everyone you meet.

Do you have a workout accountability partner?

Training with friends is one of the best upsides of working out.  For me, there’s a ton of benefits to exercising with friends and here’s my top 5:

  1. Social:  A great opportunity to socialize with like-minded people
  2. Accountability:  There’s no getting out of  a workout if you’ve committed the time to a friend
  3. Competition: Its nice having someone there to push you and pace yourself along
  4. Fun: Let’s face it, working out alone is boring at times, but working out with friends is always entertaining
  5. Encouragement:  Reaching a new personal best or completing an exercise for the first time and getting a high-five from your bud, well, that’s AWESOME!

These are just a few of the reasons why I love working out with friends.  What are your reasons?
